Whether you’re just starting your martial arts journey or you’re deep in fight camp, having the right gear matters. I’ve tested tons of equipment over the years—some held up, some didn’t. Below are the striking tools I keep going back to for training, sparring, and coaching.

šŸ”„ Best Gloves for Striking

🧤 Top King Super Air Muay Thai Leather Gloves
Top King gloves are my go-to for Muay Thai sparring. The leather is breathable, the wrist support is excellent, and they hold their shape round after round. Choose 14–16 oz for sparring, and 8–12 oz for bag/pad work. Great for intermediate and advanced strikers.

🧤 TITLE Boxing Pro Style Leather Training Gloves 3.0
These gloves offer a comfortable fit with solid protection for everyday training. Great for beginners to intermediate athletes looking for a budget-friendly, high-performance glove.

šŸ– Hand Wraps

TITLE Boxing Mexican-Style Elastic Hand Wraps
These stretchy wraps provide great wrist support and a snug fit every time. An essential for anyone throwing punches regularly.

🦵 Shin Guards

Top King New Pro Leather Shin Guards
Durable, thick, and secure—perfect for sparring. These don’t slip around during drills and offer serious protection for both you and your partner.

Sanabul Battle Forged Muay Thai Shin Guards
A solid option for beginners and intermediate students. Lightweight but protective. Great for training 2–3x a week.

šŸŽÆ Pads & Focus Mitts

Sanabul Battle Forged Air Mitts
These air mitts are light, cushioned, and great for precision work. Excellent for building combos and refining accuracy.

TITLE Punch Training Paddles
Perfect for speed and flow work. Easier on the coach’s wrists and ideal for lighter, faster striking drills.

🧤 MMA Gloves

Combat Sports Max Strike MMA Training Gloves
Perfect for clinch, transitions, and light sparring. These gloves let you strike and grapple without needing to switch gear.

šŸ‘Š Freestanding Training Dummies

Century Bob Dummy
Bob is great for targeting the head and body with precision. A classic choice for home striking practice.

Century Versys VS.BOB
A more versatile option that allows for kicking, clinching, and even takedown drills. Great for full-body training at home.

Final Thoughts

Good gear protects you, boosts your performance, and makes training safer and more fun. These are the tools I use every week with my students at Frequency MMA, and I’d recommend them to anyone who takes their training seriously.
